RAISE

Leveraging Blockchain technology, Raise is a transparent and secure loan marketplace that allows investors to earn great returns while borrowers are able to grow their own businesses.

Blockchain is an amazing technology that open so many doors for new ideas, and right now we are living a real revolution specially when it comes to financial products, there are a huge number of products popping out every day, pushing the technology and the community forward.
At the same time, there is still a long way to provide really good user experiences, even more if you are trying to reach for the non-crypto people. Imagine explaining to a new audience what is blockchain, cryptocurrency, stable coin, gas fee, tokens, swap, smart contract and many others technical specifications.

At Raise, we knew that to make our solution sustainable in the long term, we needed to go out of the blockchain bubble and make our product more accessible. When I joined the team, they had just released the product beta version, so we started tracking some users behaviours and look the data we already had. After some analysis and feedback, we decided to improve our onboarding process, since this was having a direct impact in our conversion. How can one use our product if can't access it? This work brought good results, as we started seeing more and more users registering in the platform.
We continue to deliver improvements on the product side based on survey and interviews, we tested and released new features, such as the possibility to buy crypto with credit card, choose to receive your earnings by month or at the end of the loan, new integrations and new loan opportunities.

On the brand side, when I joined the team they already had the logo and visual identity designed, and the work done here was good but wasn't representing the company or what we were trying to accomplish as a loan institution. At the same time, we had this understanding that changing entirely our brand right after a beta launch wasn't the best strategy, so we decided to make some fine tuning on the logo, such as typography and proportions and kept the same color scheme. Little by little, we started to redesign our website and landing pages till we reach the current design.

We also started to build our design system to correct some inconsistency in our platform at the same time we begin to improve our UI. This gave the team much more confidence to release new designs and much more speed to develop new screens and interfaces.

I was responsible for the end-to-end design process, build and maintain the design system, improve and manage brand assets and, also help the marketing team creating landing pages and campaigns.
